A (possibly multi-step) process of business applications is duplicated for every variation and each separate output format.

For each application, separate business process definitions are required, from data collection to document distribution. In turn, this requires many resources with various different application or system specific know-how.

Print outs processed as “Output” don't show any consistencies over the different channels.

So far, bank statements made available through print outs, electronic transfer and bank terminals have separate processes in development, making and administration. Furthermore, depeding on the involved business system, specialised know-how is needed. Changing processes are difficult, time costly and require a lot of resources.

The documents are not organised in a consistent manner and show no unified overall picture and brand image.
